Smadar is a Jewish woman of Yemeni descent, and she is one of the founders of Ahoti (My sister), Israel's first Mizrahi feminist organization. This work in progress is part of larger series of portraits of Arab Jewish women. Through poignant stories of struggle, they unveil a myriad identity, and a complexity that deserves to be held in order to draw dissident lines of solidarity.
